Early voting for the April 7, 2026 election
In-person absentee voting in Madison runs from March 24 through April 5, 2026. Madison residents may vote absentee at any approved Madison early-voting site.
Campus-friendly early-voting locations include:
- Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St.
- Union South, 1308 W. Dayton St.
- School of Nursing, 701 Highland Ave.
- School of Human Ecology, 1300 Linden Dr.
- Smith Residence Hall
Other city locations include:
- Central Library, 201 W. Mifflin St.
- Madison Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
- additional Madison library and community sites
Voting absentee by mail
- Request deadline for the April 7 election: March 26, 2026
- Ballot return deadline: your ballot must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day
Ballot drop-off options in Madison include:
- all 14 Madison fire stations
- Elver Park shelter, 1250 McKenna Blvd.
Madison also offers curbside voting for voters who need it. Poll workers can bring voting materials to your vehicle.
